Enforcement Officers, Correctional Officers and Fire/EMS personnel. Based on her classroom teaching
experience with hundreds of officers, she has developed and released self-study
Spanish courses for Police, Corrections and Firefighters/EMS, these have been
sold to hundreds of clients in 49 states. These courses teach Spanish as spoken
on the street and focus on police and fire/EMS scenarios. They are complemented
by the unique course “Tactical Spanish Slang and Profanities”. She has also
developed instructor guides enabling already bi-lingual officers to lead a
classroom based Spanish course. Her
courses have been reviewed and endorsed by the National Latino Peace Officers
Association, the National Association of Hispanic Firefighters and the Chicano
Correctional Workers Association.
She also taught the first Spanish language Community
Emergency Response Team C.E.R.T. course for Latinos in California, this is
sponsored by the Federal Emergency
Management
Agency (FEMA).
